Leave the Old Way

Scripture · Proverbs 28:13 (NKJV)

He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

The wilderness has a way of exposing what comfort can hide. In that exposed place, God invites us to depend less on ourselves and more on Him.

Leave the Old Way is one expression of repentance that the book keeps bringing back to the Cornerstone, Jesus. We may not control the circumstance, timing, or another person's response, but we can choose whether this moment is surrendered to Christ.

Think about the place where you feel the most resistance. That may be the very place where God wants to strengthen your foundation.

Today's Step

Before your next important response, pause and ask: What would following Jesus look like here?
